Hi Folks,
Having trouble getting Stellarium to work after I doubled the size of the main drive.

Used to work in the past, just not now.

Symptoms:
The splash screen is displayed and shows various objects being used.
However, once that is done, the splash screen is closed and then nothing.

Any ideas to get Stellarium to work?

All the best,
John Mazur.

What hardware, OS version, Stellarium version, etc.?

Have you done a complete re-install?

Do you see error messages in log.txt?

I have had something like this happen when I experimented
with read-only resources in user-directory. Not a bug.

Can also be the multiply-reported issue with location from network not found. Please check github issues.

Hi gil,

Thanks for responding.

I managed go get Stellarium going by installing an older version.

All the best,

John Mazur.

Hi,

We seem to be two ships passing each other in the dark.

I am using the following:
  * an MSI Z390-A PRO motherboard with an i( processor

·       A GeForce GTX 1070 graphics card.

·       Windows 11

Yes I have done a reinstall.  No change in behaviour.

Not sure of the version I tried to install, the latest one.

Just exactly which folder is log.txt located?

I have completely given up on trying to install everything on a 2TB drive and have gone back to my old 1TB drive which runs version 0.20.3 and happily works.

All the best,
John Mazur.
