to Stellarium
Just over 5 years ago I created theSTARLINK SATELLITE OBSERVING GROUP. For my group I have been using the old program Heavenesat to make ground track predictions for the first 24 hours of twilight passes over areas around the world, which I then post as a series of screenshots immediately after a launch.
Then I leave it up to the members to use an app of their choice to see details of any pass they might see, based on how close they are to the trajectory and whether they are in darkness. It is not often that I take the time to post local star charts showing the trajectories.

However, when I see that a pass is going through my sky, I do look at my own Heavensat star chart, but I do not care for the constellation lines that Heavensat produces. Plus, I have trouble showing as many stars as I would like to see.

Anyway, for my own use, even before a launch I would like to use Stellarium to show the pass of the pre-launch TLE for the so-called "Single" satellite I obtain from CelesTrak. Once it has become available, I would also like to add the CelesTrak link for the whole group. I am very familiar with locating the Group TLEs at CelesTrak.

What I need help with is:

(1) How do I add an individual TLE to Stellarium? The format is obviously critical, but in what file or where do I paste it?
(2) How can I add archived TLEs of the whole group, which I do have?
(3) How do I make it appear? The magnitude shoild not be an issue being that they are early visible early on.
*(4) How can I add a LINK to go to when the Group TLEs have become available?

*I have added the link and got it to work once, but now I can no longer see those satellites, even when the magnitude is set to 8.

Thank you.

Hi  Tom.
I believe I have seen more Starlinks than anyone, over 6000.
There are a few ways to do what you want.
Put anything you want in a file on your computer, say starlink.tle.
Update from your computer files and check Add all new objects on update. Choose update from Starlink.tle.  Done.
