I am learning how to use this plugin to preview objects:Just playing with it on a cloudy day.
Sequence of events: Viewing Saturn, I picked the Plossl 26mm Ocular on a Celestron C8. That was fine. I then chose the Barlow 2x lens by double-clicking on it. The display updated just fine.
But I don't know how to "unapply" the Barlow. Deleting it did "unapply" but I suspect that there's a smarter way.
Thanks, Georg.
I brought up the Oculars configuration window by clicking on the
'wrench" in the screen's upper right corner. There were three
entries under lenses: Barlow 2, Barlow 3 and Reducer. Double
clicking any one invoked it and it showed in the Oculars drop-down
in the top right with its corresponding Multiplicity. I tried each
one. To remove its effect, I tried double clicking in a blank spot
in the Lenses configuration pane. I tried double clicking on the
lens in the top right drop down, but I couldn't figure out how to
rotate lenses until there was "none".
I just ended up deleting all lenses from the Oculars Configuration window. I don't have any Barlows. If I ever need one, I'll just add it back in. As I say, I was really just playing to get a feel for how the preview works. Not critical at all.
