I'm using an Asus VivoBook 13" and Stellarium v0.21.1. Screen resolution is the default 1920x1080. Many of the Stellarium Configuration windows are too large to see all the settings. Is there a way to resize them so I can see all settings? Thanks.

I'm assuming that you are using WIN10 on your computer. You must change your screen resolution in "Settings" to a higher setting...Enjoy

Yes, I'm using Win10. 1920x1080 is the maximum screen resolution.

The only thing I think I can do is to temporarily reduce the Win10 Display settings scaling percentage when I need to make changes in Stellarium configuration settings. Rescaling from the default 150% to 125% allows me to see all of the windows in Stellarium, but reduces the desktop icons, etc.

Just press F11 on your keyboard and then resize stellarium to your screen size...HB

Do you use some scaling larger than 100%? Please see section 2.4.1 of the User Guide.

F11 resizes the overall fit of the program on the screen, it doesn't help with resizing the menu windows or info display, which are too large.

The laptop's default recommended display is 150%. When I change that to 125%, everything in Stellarium looks good, but other things, such as the Win10 desktop icons, are too small. I read section 2.4.1 of the User Guide and tried the other Sart Menu Stellarium items to no avail. Can I change the item "Stellarium (scale 75%)" to a different percentage scale and see if that works? If so, how? Thanks.

I'm tapped out for answers simply because I have been using this program for just over a week now. I'm not Tech Support, just a user. Enjoy...

sorry for duplicate message if previous went through to author, am new here - here is what I wrote again...

another option for high dpi apps is to right click start menu app tile, open file location, right click shortcut (Stellarium), properties, compatability tab, change high DPI settings button, set High DPI Scaling Override to System (Enchanced)... Works for me, good luck to you :-)

AVN,
That did it! I had given up, as none of the other suggestions had worked. Thank you!

I spent hours trying to fix the latest Stellarium download (0.22.2), which has too little resolution, and you can't get to various tabs on the menus as they go off the screen with no way to get them back.

I searched the internet  for a long time, with no viable solution, including changing the DPI and HDPI settings.

A temporary fix was to change my Display Resolution on my 13-inch laptop from 150%  to 149%.  Note that on my laptop 150% is "recommended", and I cannot read the fonts at 125%

After this change Stellarium goes the opposite way and then everything is too small, but at least I can get to the other menu tabs, such as in the solar system plugin for adding comets.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Steve

Did you try the GUI font sizes in the config (F2, tab "Tools")?

Yes, and that had no effect on the size of the windows within Stellarium, still resulting in menu buttons off the screen.

However, using my temporary fix of 149% screen Display, and then increasing the GUI font from 13 to 24 doe now allow me to read most of the windows without needing my glasses.

If this helps, my laptop is a HP Elite book x360 830 G6 13.3 inch,  1920 x 1080.

Oh, and that same laptop worked fine for years with many versions of Stellarium.
This is the first time I have had any issues.
