I create custom landscapes for the sits I visit and they all have an alignment issue at the seam of the two edges.  I use a level tripod and my mobile phone to take the pictures.  Below is a screen shoot from Stellarium of my backyard. How can I correct this?

Chapter 7 of the User Guide describes recommended workflows. If you prefer to deviate, it's up to you to create a pano with other tools/cameras.

I suggest using google street view, to capture spherical image of your location.

Then the landscape.ini file looks like this:

[landscape]
name = Mendoza Ranch Parking, Coyote Lake - Harvey Bear Ranch County Park, Gilroy, CA
author = Glenn Newell
description = Observing Position
type = spherical
maptex = Horizon.png
maptex_top = 60
maptex_bottom = -90
angle_rotatez = -8.0
horizon_line_color =  .75,.45,.45
[location]
planet = Earth
latitude = +37d4'14.2"
longitude = 122d31'21.7"W
altitude = 288

and you adjust the  angle_rotatez to line things up.

That also means you may be able to grab existing street views, of your remote observing locations, to make landscapes.

Thank you both for your recommendations.  I found a third option.  I used Google Street View to create a pano and it worked great, perfect alignment and great quality.

Kind regards,

Chris

While there are many YouTube tutorials on making landscapes to be imported into Stellarium, I would recommend one using the phone app Theodolite.  You will not have a picture, but you will have the outline need to show only the sky above your obstructions.  You will not have to align and stitch the photos.

I have been using the Custom Landscape for 2 year , I was just trying to find out how to correct the seam alignment.  I have done that now.  Thanks all for the recommendations.
