linking macOS package

(What does "locally installed package" mean?)

Thanks.  I mentioned the problem long ago but did not
notice the fix which is not mentioned in Guide.pdf
either as "Installing" or "Running" :-(

I notice incidentally that if I install Stellarium by a
certain package manager:
<https://brew.sh/> "*The Package Manager for Everywhere*"
brew installs a small script, /usr/local/bin/stellarium,
which starts stellarium correctly.
(Is that package built by Stellarium developers or by
Brew developers?)
