Black Screens all the time

I have a problem with Stellarium.

Problem: every 10 to 20 seconds the screen briefly goes black. I have the feeling that this is especially acute when I use the telescope/eyepiece display oder do a mouse over on the "date/time" frame.

A complete uninstall and reinstall didn't help....

Even a downgrade to version 20.2 did not solve the problem.

System: Win 10 (latest version), Stellarium 20.4, Intel i5 (8th), UHD Graphics 620 /driver up to date)

My notebook's Thunderbolt output switches off for 2-20 seconds every 1-10 minutes or so, regardless of application. It makes Thunderbolt useless.

Is this a black screen in terms of "switched off", or just briefly black and blank for 2-3 frames?

Does this happen in full-screen or windows mode?

I am unsure we can help though, this feels like a driver problem. Try ANGLE mode, it is better on some systems.

Same problems on my 1 yr old Dell. Updated Stellarium yesterday but still happens.

Don't see "ANGLE mode" in the settings anywhere.

You could google: Stellarium ANGLE mode

You could read the fantastic manual: section 2.4.1

After installing Stellarium you have in the programs list the group Stellarium with many launch shortcuts, where you can see "Stellarium" and "Stellarium (ANGLE mode)". In this group you can also see the launch shortcut "Stellarium User Guide". The Stellarium User Guide may be found on stellarium.org website on the first page also!

So, what exactly should we suggest to you here? Maybe should we propose the video instructions on youtube how to launch the shortcut "Stellarium (ANGLE mode)" which is located near the shortcut "Stellarium" (another video tutorial in addition to hundreds of exists)? But if you see one shortcut and "don't see" the next one, then video instructions don't help you!
