I usually have satellites visible as symbols.
When I set time/date ahead a couple years, satellites move
absurdly rapidly, perhaps 100 x real time while the time
updates normally.  this might be because predictions are
not valid so far in advance.

If I set time to last update + 5 years (precisely to the
minute) all the satellites vanish.  Good riddance.

Of course. orbits decay to the point of becoming symbolic or even useless. At some point (5 years?) it's better to just not show anything.
However, it seems some displayed data like Orbital Period and altitude are misleading nonsense for these ultra-fast objects.
