Hi I am a new user of Stellarium and new here. I have gotten a good start with learning how to use the program but I have a question about a specific function. I use NINA with my scope and use Stellarium to select a dso and can get NINA to import the coordinates for slewing to said object. However, when I click on a displayed object like say a galaxy the program may or may not actually select it. When it works correctly for me an object on Stellarium's screen when clicked on will then show a blue pulsing square around it, however not all dso's shown on the screen will exibit this condition. Many times Stellarium will instead select a nearby star and pulse the blue square around it rather than the object I intended. I figure there is a setting somewhere in Stellarium that needs to be configured differently to remedy my issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You may have to activate DSO map icon drawing [N] and also select the fitting DSO catalogs so that DSO map icons are displayed. If a "faint-fuzzy" DSO (remote galaxy visible in DSS layer only) does not select, set a Marker (Shift-Click) and select this instead. Really, as new user, take the time to read at least the first part of the User Guide.
