Oracle DBA

ROLE

Temp to Perm; we can not consider candidates who would require
sponsorship to convert; no H-1B.

SKILLS

We are looking for an Oracle DBA who also has experience with IMS so
that we can develop and leverage a fully cross-functional team of
DBAs.
Primary skill is Oracle. Oracle is the primary DBM for non-mainframe;
IMS is the primary DBM for Mainframe with some DB2 applications as
well. DBA needs to have experience with Oracle & IMS minimally.

Oracle systems are at these levels:

LFRP & Plate Systems - 8.1.7.1.0
COS - 9.0.1.3
Engineering - 9.0.1.3
Data Warehouse - 9.2.0.6
Plans are to upgrate to 10.2.0.2.

· Experience developing and maintaining Oracle 9 and IMS DB2
databases.
· Primary Oracle DBA for 2 sites and supporting IMS and DB2 DBA for
the Burns Harbor site.
· Must have working knowledge of Oracle and the ability to resolve
Oracle and server problems with the primary Oracle DBA via phone.
· Ability to work independently.
· Will be on call 24 x 7 with ability to respond and resolve problems
quickly.

Skills:
· Oracle - primary - required
· IMS - secondary - required
· DB2
· JCL
· (SQL Server 2000 experience a plus)
· Data modeling skills.
· Install new databases.
· Enhance existing databases systems.
· Monitor and maintain existing database systems.
· Manage database space utilization on the mainframe and servers.
