Hello validators!
Important info for anyone who runs **Testnet** infrastructure…
Today at 1700 UTC — about 2 hours from now — the Testnet is getting reset in order to allow us to deploy Stellar Core v20.1.0. After the reset, Testnet nodes running earlier versions of Stellar Core will need to upgrade to v20.1.0 before they can rejoin the network.
For more info, check the release notes: https://github.com/stellar/stellar-core/releases
This reset to allow for the deployment of a new package is unusual, and it's not something we anticipate happening much in the future. But it's necessary to get the Testnet on the correct Stellar Core version in advance of the Mainnet upgrade vote, which is still scheduled for January 30 at 1500 UTC.
Apologies for the short notice. I will update this thread when the reset is complete.
The Testnet upgrade is now complete! If you run Testnet infrastructure, you will need to upgrade to Stellar Core v20.1.0 in order to rejoin the network.
You can find the new Stellar Core version in docker: stellar/stellar-core:stable
And in the stable repo: 20.1.0-1656.114b833e7.focal
And don't forget: the Mainnet Protocol 20 upgrade vote is scheduled for Jan. 30 at 1500 UTC. Make sure you install up-to-date software by then (including this new version of Stellar Core!), and that you arm your validator for the vote.
