Iam working on time value of money problems and my calculator keeps giving me a completely wrong answer until I reset the calculator, by pushing the reset button at the back. For example, when calculating N=5; I/Y=8; PMT=70; FV= 1000; CPT PV= -960 I will not get the correct answer of 960 every time. Sometimes it gives answers that are way off, which causes me to reset the calculator and then I get the right answer. I will then work on a couple more problems and my calculator will give me the wrong answers again until I reset it. Does anyone know what could be causing this? I just got this calculator about a month ago.

I used the Financial Calculator HP 10bII+ to calculate the FV: I input 100 for PV, 10 for I/YR, 2 for N, my calculator gave the FV =-101.67, the correct answer is 121. I tried all the function in the Start guide, it gave the correct answers, except the calculating of PV, FV, or Interest? I reset many times but it still gave the wrong number. Should I send back for repair? I just bought from Amazon 3 weeks ago.

The problem is that the calculator (like all other financial calculators) is setup to do calculations based on a Nominal and Anual interest rate (based on 12 compounding per year), and 12 payements per year (which N is). Ie: I/YR and N work on different units of time. So you need to be carefull of this issue.

What you need to do is change the number of payements per year to 1 (and you might also need to change the number of compounding per year to 1, but I am not sure, and I do not have a 10BII+ in front of me to test). This should give you the correct result.

I understand the concept, the problem is why the same calculator, input the same keys, do the same steps, give the different answer. I borrowed my friends (3 calculators, the same model) and input the same steps, all of them gave the same number, only mine gave the different. I cleared all memories, remove the batteries, reset it and it is the same.

The Test Grade Calculator helps you determine the grade of a test based on the number of questions answered correctly. Tests are a common way for educators to evaluate students' understanding and knowledge of a particular subject, measuring their progress and identifying areas where they may need additional support or instruction. They may take various forms, such as multiple choice, short answer, essay, or oral exams.

After a test is administered, educators may use a grading system to assign a score or letter grade to each student's performance. The grading system used in Europe typically consists of a scale from 0 to 100, with 60 or above considered a passing grade. In some countries, this system is matched with a corresponding letter system, such as the A-F letter grading system.

The grades range from A (excellent) to F (fail), with each letter grade corresponding to a specific range of scores. For example, an A grade may correspond to scores between 90-100, while an F grade may correspond to scores below 60.The calculator works in two steps: first, it computes the percentage test score, by dividing the number of right answers by the total number of questions. In other words, you're simply finding the percentage of good answers, as follows:

Then, based on which bracket the percentage_score falls, the calculator determines the letter grade, using one of the most common A-F grading scale. In the case of a test with points, you just need to compute the ratio of the point earned over the total available points and then find the respective letter grade:

If the BA II PLUS or BA II PLUS PROFESSIONAL calculator is returning an incorrect answer when calculating Time Value of Money, it could be caused by incorrect settings on the calculator or incorrect input from the user. Below is a checklist of procedures to follow if the calculator is returning an answer other than expected.

I created the app as you told. But I Want to tell user given answer is right with background color of selected button is green color, else background color is red when user click the option.

How to do it ?

Please help I am going to create educational quiz app ?

The original app did not bother to help the quiz taker know what he got right or wrong. It waited until the end of the quiz before checking the newly completed list of student answers against the official list, just to calculate a total score.

The first step in reducing blocks is to get all the questions, answer candidates, and correct answers out of text blocks and into a spreadsheet, so it can be exported as a csv text file and loaded into the Media folder.

store the files in the assets, read them on first run of the app, convert them into lists and assign them to the question and answers list

do a search in the community for these steps in case you need help...

A very good way to learn App Inventor is to read the free Inventor's Manual here in the AI2 free online eBook ... the links are at the bottom of the Web page. The book 'teaches' users how to program with AI2 blocks.

There is a free programming course here and the aia files for the projects in the book are here:

How to do a lot of basic things with App Inventor are described here: .

Yes. I understand how to store questions and answer in list. I got how to create the quiz and display result after user solve all questions. But I want to set background color green of button which user clicks if it is correct answer else red.And the background color of button should set green which has correct answer.

That is the point which I am not understanding. Sorry to bother you.

All Praxis tests are scored the same way. Each correct selected-response question is worth one raw point. However, you may get questions that have more than one correct answer; they ask you to choose all that apply. Those are worth more. For example, if a constructed response question says, "choose all that apply," and there are 3 correct answers, that question is worth 3 raw points.

Some Praxis tests require the test taker to write a short essay. These are called constructed response questions. Constructed response questions are scored by trained educational professionals. Two scorers will independently rate each of your written responses, and a third will weigh in if the two graders do not agree within one point.

Usually, tests with a constructed response section allocate 25% of the overall score to the constructed response. For example, on the Praxis Principles of Learning and Teaching (PLT), the selected response part of the test is worth 75% of the overall score, and the constructed response is worth 25% of the overall score.

For example, let's say on the Praxis Core Math your raw score is 35. That means you got 35/56 because there are 56 total questions on the Praxis Core Math. Next, divide 35 by 56, and you get 62.5% or a 63%. Then drop the percent sign and add 100 to get your scale score. In this case, that would be 163, which is passing in most states.

If the test has a constructed response section, that can be a bit trickier. Let's use the PLT as an example--the selected response section is worth 75% of the overall score and the constructed response section is worth 25% of the overall score.

We're not done. Now for the constructed response. On the PLT there is a total of 4 possible constructed response points. You could get a perfect score of 4, but let's use caution and say you get a 3/4 or 75%. Just like above, that is only a portion of the test; that 75% is worth 25% of your total score, so you must multiple it by 25%.

Drop the percent and add 100. The scale score is about 172. We sayabout because some of the selected response questions could be worth more because of the choose all that apply option discussed above.

Calculating percent correct is important for assessing accuracy in various contexts, such as exams, surveys, and quality control processes. It helps in understanding the effectiveness or proficiency of the subject being evaluated.

Yes, the percent correct formula is versatile and can be applied to any assessment where the number of correct answers and the total number of attempts are known. This includes educational tests, skill assessments, and performance evaluations.

Improving your percent correct involves identifying areas of weakness, seeking feedback, practicing regularly, and employing effective study or preparation techniques tailored to the specific type of assessment.

I've spent a couple hours trying to figure out how to get canvas to score a multiple answer question with partial credit. It WILL NOT work. I designed a question that has one correct answer, three choices, worth 1 point, but it will not score .5 or 1/2. Okay, so maybe that's a design flaw. Cool. Same question set up: one correct answer, three choices, worth 2 points. Nope. No partial credit here either. Okay. So maybe there MUST be two correct answers. Still a design flaw. But, let's test: two correct answers, three possible answers (one is wrong), 2 points. Nope. No partial credit. It seems that every question is an all or nothing setting and Canvas did not place that particular setting in a intuitive place (like so many other problems with Canvas that lack an intiutive design).
