No nominations for steering group so far.

Hi team,

Hope you're all well.

First thing - can I please have your updates in our newsletter sheet by Thursday 28th. 

Second thing - I had a call with Tim Gee on Friday regarding my campaign organisers programme and he told me we have had no nominations for the steering group at all yet

This alarmed me a little with just 2 weeks left for nominations so I am much freer over the next two weeks to do a massive comms spreading of this.

I definitely should have done this earlier but the comms team are all over the place on holidays and as have I been so not really been following things as I should have been. Sorry. 

I wanted to share my plan of action with you and get your views too if you have time to share:

• Email our friendly organisations to ask if they can give us a shout out in their weekly newsletter using the following blurb:
  
• Joining the Young Friends of the Earth (YFOE) Steering Group (SG) is an exciting opportunity to campaign with a vibrant environmental organisation and lead the way to a clean, green future. Being on the Steering Group will provide some amazing opportunities to not only develop skills, knowledge and experience but meet like minded people and have some fun! • Write in some like minded Facebook groups and message some other Facebook pages with the same blurb.
• Tweet the link to our website every day
• Tweet organisations asking for a retweet - works well for work and would be good for future to build that relationship

Has anyone else got any ideas on how we can get the word out there?

Greg, or anyone else who liases with other organisations - if you could give them an email or pass their email to me so I can email them about featuring us in their newsletter that would be great.

Any thoughts are welcome, just give me a shout on email or FB.

It was mentioned both in FoE's Change Your World, and on The Climate Coalition email newsletter. It has at least gone out!

I would recommend Facebooking all FoE local group facebook pages. I can do some Facebook posting tomorrow. I would recommend tweeting organisations. See database attached.

Please can everyone spread the word everywhere. I am really concerned we have no nominations and we don't have a back up plan if nobody puts themselves forwards...

Can we have a Skype call please? We need to just go over all the details of the handover information.
