Fred Jeska has just informed me that he will have the first batch of
official Sacramento Steampunk Society Badges available at our meeting
at Fanny Ann's Thursday.

Bring your attendance Bucks. Badges take five attendance Bucks and
five US dollars (to cover the cost of materials).

Thursday, September 2nd we will meet at Round Table Pizza in Old
Sacramento. It is on K street between Front and 2nd and is located in
a historic old "underground" basement. Besides Pizza they have a good
salad bar. The following week we will return to the Karma Cafe in Old
Folsom.

On Thursday, September 16 we will have our first full STEAMPUNK SWAP
MEET. This will replace our regular meeting and will have the same
hours - 6:30 to 9:30. The only food and drink available will be what
you bring. The location will be THE BARN in Rio Linda. Bring folding
tables if you have them - there will also be tables already in place.
This will be the same site as our October Steampunk Halloween party
and will be a good chance to get a look at the space, see the
potential, and bring contributions for decor. If you have steampunk
music on your iPod - bring it and the cord for connection to the
stereo already installed. (Steampunk CD's also!)

Parking is limited so car-pooling is encouraged. RSVP on our Facebook
group to receive the address and directions.

The swap meet is a great chance to buy, sell, trade and/or give away
those steamy (and not so steamy) things that you have but don't have a
use for. Be sure to bring plenty of cash and change. Clothing,
antiques, nerf guns, supplies, materials, and broken stuff with
possibilities are all appropriate. Completed steampunk craft items
are also okay.

One table will be dedicated specifically for free stuff - and there
will be an area outside with things cleared out of the barn for giving/
throwing away.
