July Safari Event

The Sacramento Steampunk Society is pleased to announce:

A Safari Outing

on Sunday, July 18th.

An Expedition into far-off Lands (Park)!

A Visit to the Sacramento Zoo's Collection of Beasts, Birds, and
Botanicals!

A Picnic to follow - please bring blankets, baskets, &c. to feed your
own Expeditionary force!

Bring weaponry, especially any of an aqueous nature or powered by
Dihydrogen Monoxide, for protection, display, and any duels of honor
that may erupt at said picnic.

We will convene at 10 AM just outside the Zoo, located at 3930 West
Land Park Drive
Sacramento, CA 95822. Please bring your own entry fee*, and wear your
Safari/Explorer/Day in the Country best!

Also, remember to bring hats, parasols, etc - The Society's Advanced
System to Avoid Fainting and Swooning (S.A.S.A.F.S.) at the moment
consists of a bucket of water and a disregard for your hair and
apparel.

Also, it is up to the noble Homo sapiens to provide a good example to
the lesser orders (e.g. Rodentia, Cetacea (disputed), Chiroptera,
Cypriniformia, &c.) in displaying our self-command. Please fail to
make yourself ill. Thank you!
