Doug showed "What I found at a thrift store today" and talked about
how he planned to turn a candlestick, a metal plant trellis, a
flashlight, a glass vase and the base of a lamp into a deadly table-
top swivel ray gun.
Katia showed the new outfit she put together the day of the meeting
with pieces of cloth from various items of clothing, a white needle
work dress, and some 'knitting' that looked like lace trim. The
dangling gold coins on her headress had a very adventurous look.
Admiral Macabre had a cane in progress with many well faux finished
bits on it. His evil persona has been in so many life and death
situations that many parts of his body are being replaced with
mechanical aids. The cane includes a steam amplifier for his voice.
Jasmine showed a very hot 'new' corset.
Mouse showed a super pair of scratch built goggles with nice leather
cups.
There were lots of other costume items and tips shared.

Much enthusiasm was expressed in favor of having our February 4th
meeting at the Crocker Art Gallery. The Gallery will be open until
9pm and the current show consists of personal belongings of the
Crocker family that are not usually on display. The heart of the
Crocker is an extremely beautiful (opulant) Victorian mansion built
by
Edwin and Margaret Crocker in 1872. Their private art gallery was
completed in 1873. If you can, dress in your best formal Victorian
clothes. Admission is $6. (Students with ID $3)
