During our previous swap meet we were discussing how cool it would be
to bring our projects in progress together for a 'swap' meet where we
would share ideas, suggestions, techniques, materials and supplies.
So, instead of just swapping stuff, we would actually be working on
projects with collective help and the opportunities to 'swap' for more
stuff to include into the project.
We have plenty of tables, space, and light in The Barn. There is a
lighted bench outside for stinky stuff (like spray painting). So the
proprosal is to have such a group maker session in three weeks. It
would either take the place of the Thursday night evening meeting
(with somewhat extended hours) or would be on the First Sunday
afternoon in December .
So we are looking for who wants to participate, even more ideas to
make it super cool, and a 'straw' vote of which works better for
people: Thursday night (Dec. 2) or Sunday afternoon (Dec 5). Respond
now.
La Legion Fantastique will have their adventurer's costume contest the
following weekend (December 11) at Dicken's Faire so this would be a
great opportunity to work on costumes and gadgets for that.
