Mad Cat in Town and Country Village is hosting a bike swap tommorrow
morning from 8am to noon.
Details: www.sacbikeswap.com

The people who put on the Sacramento Tweed rides are doing a
"Seersucker" ride on Sunday, June 27th. This is the same day as our
Old Sacramento Walking Tour. We will try to avoid such conflicts in
the future.

Mark your calendar for the "Tour de Fat" in Golden Gate Park September
25th. http://www.bikedenver.org/news/tourdefat2010/

I attended this swap (which was considerably larger than I expected)
and found a few treasures to add to my collection (parts - don't need
anymore bikes at the moment, but always looking...) I ran into
Michael there who was also searching for bits with steampunk
possibilities.

Michael is going to keep me informed on other bike swaps coming up -
it seems like something with steamy/maker overtones.

I just bought a very abused and rusty three speed (a 1964 Norman) to
fix up for "Tweed" rides. I was actually looking for a donor three
speed to get parts for another project, but this bike is so good
(under all the rust) that I'm going to keep it more or less original.
I'm still looking for an internal gear hub for my other project, but I
may go with a modern shimano multi-speed instead of a classic 3.
