Just wanted to pass this race info on.  My friend talked me into going and said it is a wonderful organization and the race is great, especially all the after race stuff.

Subject: Thank You For Registering For The 3rd Annual HOPE5K Presented by Emerson
To:

Good afternoon,

Thank you for signing up for the 3rd Annual HOPE5K. I am writing today with some important information about the race. First, the fun stuff:

1) HOPE5K/Chick-Fil-A after party
Come to the Chick-Fil-A on Manchester after the race for the HOPE5K after party. Up until 2pm on Oct 5, 15% of your purchase will kick back to the Haiti Orphan Project. Most of us will go over there right after the awards ceremony immediately following the race.

2) Prizes and Awards
Like always, we will have great awards for category winners. ALSO we will have tons of door prizes that any one who is registered can win. We will draw prizes based on race bib numbers. So stick around for the awards ceremony after the race (around 8:30 or 8:45) for your chance to win some cool stuff from local businesses including BIlly G's, Great Harvest, Dewey's and much more! Race category winners will receive a custom, hand crafted HOPE5K race medal, made in Haiti for this race!

3) WE NEED YOUR HELP!!
We are still trying to get more runners signed up to raise as much money as possible for the kids in Haiti. We are asking everyone who is registered (you) to find just one friend to register. Just ONE friend or family member, that's it! Don't know how to ask them? Try this on for size, "Hi, do you like free smoothies, Chick Fil A, t-shirts, prizes, donuts, Trader Joes food, sunglasses from Zamboost, bagels AND helping kids? Of course you do! Well you're in luck, I've got a 5k for you! 100% of your $25 donation goes straight to kids in Haiti and you get all the free stuff mentioned above! Sign up at www.hope5k.org! Even if you don't want to run or walk or you just don't like getting up early on Saturdays, you can sign up for the HOPE5K International, and we will simply mail you a HOPE5K shirt. That while you're sleeping in on Saturday morning wearing your cool new HOPE5K shirt you are still helping kids in Haiti!" In all seriousness, it would be a huge help if you could help us recruit more runners and walks, so please, invite a friend, its easy and it will make a big difference! Thank you so much for signing up and for supporting us thus far! With a few more participants we can make a huge difference for the kids in Haiti at the HOPE orphanage! (Also, your friend will think you are really cool for inviting them to an event as fun as the HOPE5K!)

Ok, now for the details:

As you know, the race starts promptly at 7:30am on October 5. The race will start and end at the Keane Insurance Group Building at 135 West Adams Avenue, Kirkwood, MO 63122. You can park in either of the St. Peters parking lots (Clay and Jefferson locations) or anywhere along the road in a designated legal parking area. There are also several marked public parking lots a few blocks South of the Keane building in Kirkwood.

Packet pickup will be outside on the South side of the Keane Insurance Group building (weather permitting). This will take place from 4pm to 6pm on Thursday and 3:30pm - 6pm on Friday. Please try to pick up your race shirt and packet either of these times. We will also have registration tables and packet pickup on the day of the race starting at 6:45am.
Thank you again for signing up for this race! Your donation goes a long way to help kids. I hope you really enjoy yourself next Saturday! See you soon!
