I know what you were thinking when you saw my e-mail come through, surely it is not that time of year again? Well I am here to say "yes it is". With the St Jude marathon being cancelled last year due to ice I get to jump start my fund raising early, so any of you that might want to donate before everything else pops up this summer here is your chance.
I debate this every year about running another marathon. I am still in therapy from training for the one last year they had to cancel due to the ice storm. When I think back to my cousin Dylan , my mom and now my uncle all fighting their battles with cancer that is when I tell mtself I can do this again. If my loved ones can fight cancer, go through so much pain and suffering then I can run 26.2 miles. My pain those 4 hours is nothing compared to what they went through. This is such a wonderful cause and I will continue to donate to this cause until a cure for this horrible disease is found. Every person deserves a chance to enjoy life.
So if you can search your heart and dig deep into your pocket I would appreciate any amount you can help me with. My goal that i must reach is 500.00 but with the help of so many wonderful people I know I can beat that. If you cannot afford to donate at this time please keep every one fighting this horrible disease in your prayers.
I will run for each of you that donate, all I ask is you keep me in your prayers as I begin to train mid summer so I can stay healthy.
