Last call for entries into the Online and Art competition!
The deadline for entries in to the Online and Art competition is tomorrow, Friday, October 18.
At this time, there are not enough entries into either competition for the competions to be held. If we do not receive more entries by the deadline, the Online and Art competitions will be canceled.
Now is the time to enter! Support your local technical communication competition, receive valuable feedback from your peers, and maybe even win an award.
The Online Communications Competition includes, but is not limited to, the following types of entries:
Online help (such as general help, procedural help, web-based help, cue cards, examples, performance support, and integrated user assistance).
Marketing promotional materials that describe or define the main features of a product or product line, such as interactive online information or static non-interactive online information.
Tutorial/training materials (such as computer-based training applications, tutorials, online lesson books, and training aids).
Reference information (such as function or object descriptions, data structure definitions, encyclopedias, and directories).
Tools that assist a user to complete a set of tasks or solve a set of problems (such as troubleshooting tools, wizards or wizard-like task completion tools, quick start guides, and automated support tool).
The Technical Illustration and Art Competition entries are intended to market or promote a product, service, company, individual, or event. The materials must persuade the audience to some action, using integrated text and figures. Corporate and program identity materials (folders, stationery, logos, and so on) are acceptable if they communicate sufficient technical information.
