This is the third time I am posting this. I hope my post goes through
this time!
I want to form a Catholic women's group for professional. It would be
open to any practicing Catholic woman who has a BA/BS or higher.
Married, single, or widowed. With or without children.
The primary focus would be spiritual. Getting together twice a month
for prayers (Liturgy of the Hours, Rosary, Divine Mercy, novenas) and
other spiritual events like pilgrimages to Emmittsburg, the Basilica,
and convents. The focus would have a conservative slant, especially
for those of us who like traditional Catholic prayers and practices.
The second focus would be service. Performing volunteer work with our
Catholic Christian witness. We could come together formally for a
service project on alternating months.
The third focus would be social. Again, social activity with a
Catholic Christian witness. So, things like dinners, spiritual movies,
scrapbooking, crafts, etc.
I was inspired by Catholic Daughters of America and Daughters of
Isabella. Those organizations are great! But, I would like to start
something local, unaffiliated, and for, primarily, GenXers and Yers.
I was also inspired by Catholic Alumni Club International, in terms of
organization. Basic bylaws, mission statement, purpose, logo,
officers, and reasonable membership fees.
Please e-mail me directly at
danma...@gmail.com if you are
interested in such an organization.
In Christ,
Lynn Marsh
