Call for Volunteers - Conference Program Manager and Competition Manager

Hello,
I hope you all are safe and healthy.
The admin council wants some of you to step ahead and help us out in planning and conducting the STC Annual Conference in Dec 2020.
I will chart out some basic roles that we are looking at to make the conference a success and a great learning experience.
Conference Program Manager: This person is responsible for conducting the conference and making sure that all arrangements are taken care of. Along with the logistics, the conference program manager also decides on the conference theme, sends out emails asking for possible sessions aligned to the theme, ensures the tracks are well planned and spaced out, and many other key things.
The Conference Program Manager is the backbone of this event and has to work in tandem with a lot of people to make this happen.
The Conference Program Manager also creates a core team who can help with different tasks related to the roles and responsibilities I chartered above.
Please remember these are only some of the things that are needed, but this is just the tip of the iceberg. Once the admin council decides on the candidate, we will have a detailed discussion around the roles and responsibilities.
So other than excellent people and management skills, this time we are looking at someone who is tech-savvy and understands the nuances of a digital platform. Since we are going digital for the first time, we will need someone who can dedicate some time to explore what would work out the best.
Competition Manager: This person is responsible to ensure we get good engagement from the audience - right from even before the conference and even during the conference. The competition manager gets to plan different activities that can be participated in online and something that is interesting, relevant, and engaging. The conference is all about getting people out of their comfort zone, pushing them to try new things, and rediscovering their hidden skills and talent.
The Competition Manager can have a small team helping out in planning the competitions and ensuring the competitions are well spaced out and conducted in a professional manner.
The Competition Manager has to work closely with the Conference Program Manager and the core conference team. In fact, the Competition Manager is a part of the core conference team.
So if you think you have it in you, please send out an email detailing the role you want to play along with a small bio to admin....@stc-india.org by 20 July 2020, and we can take it up from there.
