About the Speaker

Aarthi Kumar started her career as a Software Manual Tester and moved over to Technical Communication. Currently, she works as Senior Technical Writer in HCL Technologies Limited, Chennai. She has worked as a writer in Waterfall Model project, Iterative model (brief stint) and moved to Agile based projects in the later years. She has also gained considerable experience in Agile environment and worked on a wide range of documents including release notes, user and installation guides. She has also submitted a best practice paper on how to use a collaborative tool to track documentation tasks iteration-wise to an internal HCL Best Practices forum.

In the Agile era of iterative development cycles and continuous delivery, the challenge of creating and maintaining documents becomes a “necessary evil”. To embrace Agile in its journey, writers must sail in harmony with the stakeholders. To achieve this, we in HCL, follow proven strategies and techniques to counter the obstacles. In this session, I will share the knacks to collaborate with scrum teams, customize the tool to include documentation perspectives and more importantly, the mind-set that will help us continue to learn and explore in an uncertain and continuous development workspace.
