The following describes a scholarship opportunity that may benefit some of our secondary teachers, please share this information with those teachers that teach AP courses.
The College Board AP Fellows Program awards scholarships to secondary school teachers who will teach AP® courses in schools that serve economically disadvantaged students and/or traditionally underrepresented minority students. Recipients of College Board AP Fellows awards will be offered a scholarship of $1,000 to attend a College Board-endorsed AP Summer Institute (APSI) during the summer of 2008.
The scholarships assist teachers with the costs (e.g., registration fees and travel expenses) of attending a week-long APSI for professional development.
I have attached the application. The deadline is March 1.
