I'm very interested in attending the STC event at The Tannery on Oct 4. I will register today. I have one question: can we invite a guest as well? One of my managers is a tech writer (not yet member of STC) who is interested in the next meeting's topic and may join STC.

This is a Communitech Technical Communication Peer2peer event. The local STC chapter is a sponsor of the event, but it is not exclusive to STC and many people who attend the peer2peer meetings are not STC members. In short, bring all the guests you like. Please do indicate the number of guests you are bringing on the signup page on Meetup, though, so we have some idea of numbers.
