Looking for a director for the STC Chapter

Hi everyone:

The Southwestern Ontario chapter is a registered non-profit organization, and therefore must have three members on the board of directors. For the upcoming year (July 2017 to June 2018), we have nominees for the positions of president and treasurer, but no one has been nominated for the secretary position. The chapter cannot run with only two board members.

To be eligible to run for secretary, you must be a member of this STC chapter. No previous experience is necessary as the other members of the volunteer council will be happy to help you learn the duties. They mostly consist of attending the monthly meetings, taking the minutes, and sending them to the council members. As a member of the board, you would also have a legal say in the financial business of the chapter.

The elections take place at the Annual General Meeting, which is on Wednesday, June 28 at 6:30 pm. See the AGM BBQ Social for more information and to register.

If you are interested in any other positions on the board, please feel welcome to stand for election. Other volunteers and voters are welcome, too.
