Karl bring reagent testing gear, and some kits for sale.
Michelle will bring home and bring to storage the outdoor supplies, and give Steph the indoor supplies.
It was amazing. Pip came as well. Good amount of visitors. Pip found an error in the fentanyl test instruction. We need to check if we have more nasal narcan in storage. Pip made snorting kits while there. Pretty slow in first shift. Thought we could fill our water cooler but didn’t have the availability. Young kids asked for snorting kits - we give them to anyone that asks for it.

Critical NW Community Garden (7/14-20)
IgnitionNW
Masonic Campgrounds in Granite Falls
Didn't apply for the grant because there wasn’t enough interest.
Zdeev could ask their camp if they’d like to have some DS gear.
Quack is planning to go and could bring some materials.
Haven ays CNW is interested in providing us with some help, if we want to go. Someone in the community has passed away, probably due to fentanyl. Haven’s camp would be interested in supporting having DS come in that person’s honor. CNW would consider support, including (we think) free tickets. Michelle would consider weekend time. Haven says busiest days are Fri/Sat. Thurs is also hopping. Quack suggested we could also reach out to Surprise for their support - Haven will reach out tonight. Haven will see what they are offering - thinks it’s 4? number of tickets. Note that we’d probably need in/out passes, parking, and entry passes. Haven already has a ticket and does not need to be counted in the tickets #. Quack would like parking pass but no in/out. Michelle/Don/Hollie would need parking & in/out. Haven would ask for 3 - 4 parking, 3 - 4 in/out, 3 - 5 tickets (after asking the next question). Will ask if someone who comes in and out in 1 day is handled differently. Haven will include Quack on the emails. Haven & Quack & Surprise to have a 3 way chat.
Pip might be able to do whole weekend.
Haven will confirm camping for 2 tents (Karl’s is about 9x10, Quack will ask Pip about tent size). Karl will would like his tent near the booth. We will ask for Esplinade placement for the booth at least.
Quack will make signs about testing to put in portos.
Booth open by Tuesday - Haven might rent a car and will bring the DS supplies. Would DS pay for a rental? Possibly a portion.
Thurs shift (if we can)
8 - 12
Fri shift
8 - 12: Karl, Pip
Sat shift
8 - 12: Don, Michelle
We were accepted to be at Critical! Haven has filled out the necessary paperwork. One kink in the system - we thought Quack had a ticket but they don’t. Haven will figure out how to get Quack in.
Van rental through Enterprise for $500 for the full week. Considering if our chapter wants to pay all of the van rental - would transport Haven’s gear, Quack’s gear, and DS gear. We will need to make a decision about if DS wants to spend this money. Suggested that if the entire group is going to vote/decide that we have a better understanding of what the budget is overall before voting (and what we spend money on). Or will the Leads team be deciding then that might not be necessary. Also would want to revisit when Karl is here of course.
(Karl is okay with budgeting this but if we need to list more stuff then just the van rental, then yeah should check into that. Voting always welcome in our democratic decision making!)
Haven will make sure that CNW understands exactly what we need. Karl - you don’t need an in/out pass right? Great. Confirmed.
Karl : I do not, will drive over Thurs/Fri, stay til Sunday

Chapter Leads
Chapter Leadership Application
We still need one to two more officers! Please let us know if you're interested in applying. There is a link we can provide for the DS Nat’l application.
Roles Needed: Chapter Leads, Shift Leads
Tasks covered (not comprehensive):
- Meeting Planning/Note Taking
- Logistics (storing gear, making sure it's ready for a booth, accessing our storage facility)
- Finances
- Handle Square Reader
- Social Media
- DS Nat'l Meetings
- Promoter Contact
Shift Leads - new role, from DS. Folks that we could leave at the booth to leave it in 'charge.' Preferably have a vehicle to help transport the gear.
ADDITIONAL INFO: Preferably Karl will step down into an advisory position once one more chapter lead is instated.
T-Shirt Policy
While usually we’d like folks to wear both the badge and DS T-Shirt on shift, like before, exceptions can be made if you’re in costume for the event being worked, at the discretion of the chapter lead/shift lead.

Materials
Arrived:
Hi Chew
Hearing Protection Cards
2 shelves
Fent strips for critical
Extra Condoms
Testing kits were in the same box, just hidden at the bottom! We sold a full kit at Parke!
Pip has more boofing kits, snorting kits, nasal narcan, lube packets for Critical.
Storage Organization - Done!
Note: should check expiration dates of fire extinguishers, make sure we have enough latex free condoms.
Canopy cover is spread out on left side of storage to dry fully - didn’t seem to be too wet, but just in case! Will get put back in the dark blue bin next time Karl is in storage.
Also need more pronoun pins! Pip has the button maker, Karl sent it the design files we had last meeting. Pip will send Michelle the files that need to be printed in color.
Haven made a one-pager that gives the correct info for Fentnyl, Haven will see if we can make half of that into a ¼ page (would mean shrinking it a little and might be too small of writing). Michelle will turn it into text for Haven to do more with. Leads will mention to National.
Karl: (also we should bring that info back to National so they can correct, maybe send Haven’s writeup?)
Buying Laptop for Quack? No, Michelle got her one.

Added email signup to linktree!
Membership drive?
Publicize Discord?
Maybe look for additional URL to buy?
Need separate volunteer bit.ly with:
Test kit info link
Fent Testing
Post Event Documentation Form
General Drug Info
DS Website
Karl still needs to work on this! Will reach out to folks (Michelle/Don) if help needed.
FTIR Testing w/ PubHealth
Thru Georgia! Best way is thru her work phone# and you can ask Karl for her number if interested. Texting thru Signal works too. Also calling is okay. E-spectronomy out on Thurs/Fri. At the Robert Clewis Center, Needle Exchange on 4th & Blanchard in Belltown. Downtown public health building - do FTIR, fent strip testing, but also access to GCMS testing thru U of North Carolina. Wed/Thurs/Fri, 9-5p.
Can test everything except weed and shrooms. Liquid is iffy, and LSD needs to be sent to the lab.
Can’t advertise too much, folks get some harassment sometimes for using services. :(
Also can go to PHRA (Fri/Sun afternoons)! Downtown Needle Exchange has drop boxes.
Covid Tests
Pip got a ton of COVID tests that aren’t far from expiring. We’ll be able to use this resource repeatedly, looks like.
Next In-Person Meeting Location
Criteria for locations:
- parking
- traffic/distance
- indoors
- quiet
Talk about carpooling closer to the date, at least a day before.
Could try somewhere south. Southcenter food court! Open call for locations… Please post on Discord with ideas!
6/5 in-person meeting location - Cal Anderson again
Cafe Cosmos
Phoenix Games? Might have a tournament 5/8
Tacos Chukis?
Cal Anderson Park - Quack can message to use office space here
Might need to plan for later meetings or a different day (Karl’s work often does releases on Thursdays and they end up with later work days .) Maybe meetings at 8p? Thoughts? General consensus is that Thursday at 8 PM would work. However, Michelle expressed that starting later might mean missing sometimes, especially if (volunteers?) further away.
Next in person meeting would be July 3rd at 8 PM. Might consider if that’s going to be a problem as it is the day before a holiday. Small preference for Cal Anderson again that day.
Karl: Will plan future events and meetings accordingly at 8p. Can check back on this and see how it’s working. Can discuss 7/3 further on the Discord and at the 6/19 online meeting. 🙂 🙂
