T-Shirt Policy

While usually we’d like folks to wear both the badge and DS T-Shirt on shift, like before, exceptions can be made if you’re in costume for the event being worked, at the discretion of the chapter lead/shift lead.

Joules - ?
Michael - L
Pete - M
Razz - largest, 2xl?
Sierra - L

Business

Materials

Will need to order more shirts (only have limited sizes)

Note: Fire extinguishers that are expired have been separated out in storage.

Pronoun pins (Pip) - Michelle will coordinate w/ Pip. Waiting for color ink to print more sheets to get them to Pip.

Organization
Categories of items

  • Consumables (condoms, candy, hygiene products, pronoun pins)

  • Drug Checking

  • Drug Info

  • Safer Use Supplies (boofing kits, etc)

  • Merch

Merch
Discuss if we want more merch (water bottles, pins, crisp tubes) and figure out how they fit onto the table.  Looking into stacking bins so we have more space.  Will it require another bin?
(also we already have too many things on the table, so we need an organizational solution)

Karl - new lighting in the bins! More space in the bins for organization.

Haven looking into an arch over the table as an option. Bed Bath Beyond or Container Store? Fred Meyer? Things collapse or nest. And stuff that has space for labels!

Karl can make time for this after he gets back from travelling mid-April if nobody else wants to spearhead this.

Running gear inventory? To help with chapter finance. (Ex always having two sleeves of condoms in the gear) Also maybe a Pre Event Checklist.

Another box to store: cables, scissors, blades, badges & lanyards, markers

DS National

Partnership w/ Transparency/Bunk Police

Us leads still have some questions and concerns we’re pushing Nat’l on. Will keep you all appraised, but open to questions you all might have that we can ask Nat’l.

FTIR Testing w/ PubHealth

Thru Georgia! Best way is thru her work phone# and you can ask Karl for her number if interested. Texting thru Signal works too. Also calling is okay. E-spectronomy out on Thurs/Fri. At the Robert Clewis Center, Needle Exchange on 4th & Blanchard in Belltown. Downtown public health building - do FTIR, fent strip testing, but also access to GCMS testing thru U of North Carolina. Wed/Thurs/Fri, 9-5p.

Can test everything except weed and shrooms. Liquid is iffy, and LSD needs to be sent to the lab.

Can’t advertise too much, folks get some harassment sometimes for using services. :(

Also can go to PHRA (Fri/Sun afternoons)! Downtown Needle Exchange has drop boxes.

Next In-Person Meeting Location

If you need it, talk about carpooling closer to the date, at least a day before.

Hey, saw my name w/ a ? For t-shirts.

I'd like a SM size please.

Waiting to hear back from my roomies, but seeing if they might be down to host occasional in-person meetings at our place. I know noise can be an issue in public spaces at times.

Sounds good! I'll note that you need a Small.

And maybe we have a meeting at your place for May? What does everyone else think?

For SakuraCon, it's still pretty open for Friday/Saturday availability. We still need to keep an eye on when SC Programming releases the schedule so exact times are not set, or if there are concerts on Friday and Saturday as well, and the exact times for the dance.

But here's the volunteer list and the relevant days so far as of this point. I will keep this more updated on our Discord.

  1. Volunteers: Friday: Quack Steph Saturday: Don Haven ShaQ Not picked a day/no preference so far: Sierra Autumn Maddie Alexandra Harrison

Due to personal reasons I'd rather not get into right now, I won't be completing my Sakura Con registration. But I will still be there if you still need to fill a time slot.

It's unclear if you'll still have a regular badge, but it's fine if you have a regular attendee badge and still would like to volunteer. (Otherwise I'm confused how you'd get into the con! lol)
