Training - IMPORTANT!
Please finish your DS Training, or start the process by going to DanceSafe.org/volunteer
Training required to volunteer!
Please be sure to fill out all forms, and you'll be sent an email from SignRequest to do your eSignature on your DanceSafe Volunteer Agreement
Training seems to be updated - recommend going over again! (repeated on 1/16)
Chapter Leads
Chapter Leadership Application
We still need one to two more officers! Please let us know if you're interested in applying. There is a link we can provide for the DS Nat’l application.
Roles Needed: Chapter Leads, Shift Leads
Tasks covered (not comprehensive):
- Meeting Planning/Note Taking
- Logistics (storing gear, making sure it's ready for a booth, accessing our storage facility)
- Finances
- Handle Square Reader
- Social Media
- DS Nat'l Meetings
- Promoter Contact
Shift Leads - new role, from DS. Folks that we could leave at the booth to leave it in 'charge.' Preferably have a vehicle to help transport the gear.
ADDITIONAL INFO: Preferably Karl will step down into an advisory position once one more chapter lead is instated.
T-Shirt Policy
While usually we’d like folks to wear both the badge and DS T-Shirt on shift, like before, exceptions can be made if you’re in costume for the event being worked, at the discretion of the chapter lead/shift lead.
Kika needs shirt! Size M/L
Steph - M

Karl still needs to work on this! Will reach out to folks (Michelle/Don) if help needed.
Naloxone Supplies and Training
Should be good on these.
Signage
Haven playing around with a design for idea for a smaller signs for reagent testing.
Mimicking QR Code posters.
New signage - updating aged posters.
- had questions on if National had posters they can send us
Still didn’t quite answer about bigger posters - they have an ongoing project.
- or if it's okay if we had these posters made ourselves
Yes they recommend Office Depot/Staples.
Examples of new poster (size 8x10):
Michelle will print and laminate.
FTIR Testing w/ PubHealth
Thru Georgia! Best way is thru her work phone# and you can ask Karl for her number if interested. Texting thru Signal works too. Also calling is okay. E-spectronomy out on Thurs/Fri. At the Robert Clewis Center, Needle Exchange on 4th & Blanchard in Belltown. Downtown public health building - do FTIR, fent strip testing, but also access to GCMS testing thru U of North Carolina. Wed/Thurs/Fri, 9-5p.
Can test everything except weed and shrooms. Liquid is iffy, and LSD needs to be sent to the lab.
Can’t advertise too much, folks get some harassment sometimes for using services. :(
Also can go to PHRA!
