Karl needs to get back personal wagon from Don.
NEXT YEAR - Karl will likely be out of the country. Can help set up and contact w/ Con otherwise, but will need someone else to take the reins. Easter is April 5, 2026.
Got earplugs from our contact after persistent follow up. Don took materials home. Need to get the wagon back to Karl - it’s his.
DS wagon - had it at Wrestle Your Friends, not sure if we lost it there, and the card rack, didn’t bring chairs to that event
Pretty usual, nice to have fewer people so we didn’t have the long line
On Friday, Skye was sent to Industry to convert her pass from an Attendee pass.
Mitch was talking about trying to get us a booth next year near the Rave. Depends on timing…might need to stay for full 6 hours-ish.

Indigiqueer (6/27)
Plan for this closer to the date.
Critical NW (7/14-20)
Didn't apply for the grant because there wasn’t enough interest.
Zdeev could ask their camp if they’d like to have some DS gear.
Quack is planning to go and could bring some materials.
Haven says CNW is interested in providing us with some help, if we want to go. Someone in the community has passed away, probably due to fentanyl. Haven’s camp would be interested in supporting having DS come in that person’s honor. CNW would consider support, including (we think) free tickets. Michelle would consider weekend time. Haven says busiest days are Fri/Sat. Thurs is also hopping. Quack suggested we could also reach out to Surprise for their support - Haven will reach out tonight. Haven will see what they are offering - thinks it’s 4? number of tickets. Note that we’d probably need in/out passes, parking, and entry passes. Haven already has a ticket and does not need to be counted in the tickets #. Quack would like parking pass but no in/out. Michelle/Don/Hollie would need parking & in/out. Haven would ask for 3 - 4 parking, 3 - 4 in/out, 3 - 5 tickets (after asking the next question). Will ask if someone who comes in and out in 1 day is handled differently. Haven will include Quack on the emails. Haven & Quack & Surprise to have a 3 way chat.

Training - IMPORTANT!
Please finish your DS Training, or start the process by going to DanceSafe.org/volunteer
Training required to volunteer!
Please be sure to fill out all forms, and you'll be sent an email from SignRequest to do your eSignature on your DanceSafe Volunteer Agreement
Training seems to be updated - recommend going over again! (repeated on 1/16)
Chapter Leads
Chapter Leadership Application
We still need one to two more officers! Please let us know if you're interested in applying. There is a link we can provide for the DS Nat’l application.
Roles Needed: Chapter Leads, Shift Leads
Tasks covered (not comprehensive):
- Meeting Planning/Note Taking
- Logistics (storing gear, making sure it's ready for a booth, accessing our storage facility)
- Finances
- Handle Square Reader
- Social Media
- DS Nat'l Meetings
- Promoter Contact
Shift Leads - new role, from DS. Folks that we could leave at the booth to leave it in 'charge.' Preferably have a vehicle to help transport the gear.
ADDITIONAL INFO: Preferably Karl will step down into an advisory position once one more chapter lead is instated.
T-Shirt Policy
While usually we’d like folks to wear both the badge and DS T-Shirt on shift, like before, exceptions can be made if you’re in costume for the event being worked, at the discretion of the chapter lead/shift lead.
Kika needs shirt! Size M/L
Steph - M
Heather - M/L
Joules - ?
Pete - M
Ulysses? - 2X
Business
Materials
Hollie has 2 bags of hi-chew in her trunk. Will coordinate to get them. Maybe S-Con or Sacred Dance? - These were delivered at SakuraCon!
Storage Organization
Need Shelves, may ask Nat’l if they have recommendations. Will shop for some.
Karl to measure storage for exact measurements. (Outside of being 10x10). Michelle to get measurements to Karl.
Need to buy new wagon for DS (Costco). Also shelving deals there after we get measurements.
Don to keep an eye on Buy Nothing for shelves. Shaq's folks might have spare shelves. Don also has spare parts to build a shelf.
Then need volunteers to do the actual organization for one day, probably on the weekend? But can schedule out.
Steph wants to see the storage!
Also need more pronoun pins! Pip has the button maker, Karl sent it the design files we had last meeting.
Pip ordered more nasal naloxone.
To Order:
Hearing Protection Cards
Need to sell our testing kits at a discount as they are nearing expiration. And would need to order more.
Infrastructure
https://seattledancesafe.gay & https://seattledancesafe.org
Leads to: https://linktr.ee/seattledancesafe
Recruiting more volunteers!
Added email signup to linktree!
Membership drive?
Publicize Discord?
Maybe look for additional URL to buy?
Need separate volunteer bit.ly with:
Test kit info link
Fent Testing
Post Event Documentation Form
General Drug Info
DS Website
Karl still needs to work on this! Will reach out to folks (Michelle/Don) if help needed.
FTIR Testing w/ PubHealth
Thru Georgia! Best way is thru her work phone# and you can ask Karl for her number if interested. Texting thru Signal works too. Also calling is okay. E-spectronomy out on Thurs/Fri. At the Robert Clewis Center, Needle Exchange on 4th & Blanchard in Belltown. Downtown public health building - do FTIR, fent strip testing, but also access to GCMS testing thru U of North Carolina. Wed/Thurs/Fri, 9-5p.
Can test everything except weed and shrooms. Liquid is iffy, and LSD needs to be sent to the lab.
Can’t advertise too much, folks get some harassment sometimes for using services. :(
Also can go to PHRA (Fri/Sun afternoons)! Downtown Needle Exchange has drop boxes.
Covid Tests
Pip got a ton of COVID tests that aren’t far from expiring.
Naloxone
Pip ordered more nasal
