Well, to put it politely, some solicitors "work at their own pace". Make regular phone calls to get papers processed quicker. Remember, you're paying them. If they don't meet your expectations, try writing to a senior partner.

 

I Remember somebody once said: "Solicitors won't have picked up the file as often as you think. If you chase, don't worry about bugging the solicitor. Trust me - we need to be bugged." 

Remember you are paying for their services and they are working for you. Don't worry about annoying them, as most clients are fairly annoying in any event!
