Estate Agents – when to join a Franhcise, or Not

The question remains, should you choose a franchise or be an independent real estate and whatever the decision, when is the best time to make a change.

A.      Well the best time to make a change is in spring and early summer allowing you enough time to settle in and to reap the benefits of the buying season.

B.      However, the answer on the first question is not that cut and dry but consider this:

1.       Theoretically, branded franchises have extensive referral networks of affiliated real estate offices in which they can access more people and homes. If these different outlets pool their knowledge together, it can definitely work in your favour.

2.       Franchises have bigger power for marketing and advertising. Their websites are often more in-depth and elaborate. Brand recognition is a huge part of marketing success.

3.       Being part of a brand name does not mean you lose your status or focus in your local community. In fact it can even enhance it.

However, often the ongoing costs and demands of franchisors scare estate agents off.

Southern Staying Southern Africa now independently link estate agents at no cost. No setup fees, no monthly fees, they even replace your business cards and signage while agents keep 90% of their commission income.

Visit www.southernstaying.co.za and compare their offer with others and ensure that the franchise name is marketable and well recognisable by strangers as many overseas visitors simply have no idea who [insert name and test the name] real estate is.
