I've thought it would be neat to build a kite aerial photography kit
for a while, and Stavanger has both the wind and the scenery for
something like that:

This is a fantastic idea. I have loads of kites that are capable of
lifting a fairly substantial load. An intervalometer circuit and an
old digital camera would do this job well.

I also have one of those "wing" kites. It can almost lift me off the
ground, so a camera should be easy.
It does, however, have a bad habit of crashing violently to the ground
from time to time :P
