Will this ever be supported? I know Facebook has an API that can be
used to easily update your status.

Thank you.

Coming as soon as I get a chance....along with some others. Sorry for
the delay.

Of course, code patches and submissions are always happily accepted :)

I've been looking into developing a Facebook status plugin, and one of
the problems with such a plugin is the requirement of a secret
application key. However, with this being an open source project, I'm
not sure how to make the plugin work without disclosing a secret
application key in the source code. See this page for further
description about the problem:
http://wiki.developers.facebook.com/index.php/Open_Source_Applications_Terms_Of_Service_Problem

I welcome discussion about how to handle this problem.

Hey Jacob....

What I was thinking in this respect was to have a #define that
individual developers must replace with their own API code. When we
did "official" releases of Statz we would use the Statz API code that
I have already registered.

Not a great idea, but the best I could come up with.

How far along are you?

Cheers,
Dave

I've only been looking through the Facebook APIs and just thinking
about it. I haven't coded up a thing, and I don't know that I'm
likely to code up anything significant for a while seeing as I don't
know Objective-C (yet).
