Hi everybody,

For the needs of our reserch lab, we forked Statismo and released a new version. The purpose of the version is not to add features but
to be up-to-date with new VTK/ITK versions as well as new C++ standards. This new version breaks API compatibility (and cmake
inclusion changed slightly as well).

In the doc, you can browse the release note to see what's new. An important section of the doc is the compatibility section, where
the dependencies compatibility is described. It might not suit your needs at all (and we are sorry for that!) but having limited resources
force us to limit the work related to managing compliance with too many configurations.

Hopefully, it will be useful to some of you. There is also a contributing section if you are interested in sharing some improvements or
fixing issues.

Best Regards,

Charles

Dear Charles,

Thanks for letting us know and congratulations to the release. It looks great.

it makes me really happy that there is now a version of Statismo, which uses  modern c++, is up to date version of ITK and so well maintained.

If this is okay with you I would point to your fork from the README, such that people arriving on the statismo repository would know about your release and that they should rather use your version.

Thank you very much again for your efforts.

Best regards,

Marcel
