I don’t normally re-send posters etc. that I receive but why not catch the train to Littleborough or Smithy Bridge – the nearest station to Hollingworth Lake – to enjoy this event and support a very much needed enterprise?

 

Station Friends along the Calder Valley: please would you print off a copy or two for your notice boards?

The first impression of Mytholmroyd, Cragg Vale and
surrounding area  for thousands of people is – the station.
Our group from the local community aim to address this by;
maintaining an attractive gateway to the village and surrounding area
through nearly 1,000 volunteer hours per year
maintaining and improving the village station;
links and projects with the local schools and community,
improving access to business, employment & leisure opportunities by,
involving local business as appropriate, and
liaising with the transport professionals in order to facilitate these aims.

Thanks Geoff but the best we can say at the moment is that we’re in the process of retiring, a lengthier job than we anticipated.
