NEW R3 Resource- Everyone Plays a Role in R3 Infographic

Growing participation in boating, fishing, hunting and shooting sports is critical to the success of state fish and wildlife agencies and their conservation goals. Thanks to the Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration Fund, the more active anglers and hunters in your state, the more funds your state agency receives to put back into your wild places. The keys to driving participation in outdoor sports are recruitment, retention and reactivation (R3).

R3 is not solely the R3 Coordinator’s responsibility. It takes everyone within a state agency, as well as the whole industry, to ensure participation continues to grow. A new infographic has been created to share internally within state agencies to educate others about R3, conservation through participation, and how they play a role in it.

Thanks to Jason Mercer, Texas Parks & Wildlife Department’s Boating/Fishing R3 Coordinator, for identifying the need for this resource for state agencies and helping coordinate with the Council to Advance Hunting and the Shooting Sports (CAHSS) and state R3 Coordinators in the content development process.
