ONLINE COMMUNICATIONS ASSOCIATE
Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) seeks an
Online Communications Associate to manage CREW's multiple websites,
direct internal and external online communications, and spearhead the
creation and implementation of a CREW blog. Other responsibilities will
include organizing and executing online campaigns, blogging on issues
important to CREW (the Online Communications Associate will serve as
the initial point of contact with bloggers), performing outreach to the
online communications teams of other organizations, increasing
membership of CREW mailing lists, creating and updating website
content, coordinating the acquisition and posting of multimedia for
CREW website, coordinate design of website and blog (writing and
editing, locating photos, doing HTML markup, etc.), and providing basic
office technical support.
The ideal candidate must have an interest in politics and will
possess 2-3 years experience in online advocacy and/or blogging and 1-2
years experience publishing on the web. A college degree or equivalent
work experience, preferably in communications or technology related
field, is mandatory, as is a thorough understanding of basic CRM
and CMS concepts. Experience working with nonprofits and/or small
office environments a strong plus. Interested applicants should send a
