Subject: [Roots-Coord] Net Neutrality video

Hi everyone!

Kitty in the NYRoots project passed this video along to Senator Schumer’s office; they said he’d definitely see it. It provides a simple explanation of net neutrality. Perhaps we can share it with others and encourage them to send it to their reps, too?

On the heels of a MoveOn e-mail, I phoned Bill Nelson's Washington
office. Here's the message I returned to MoveOn, recapping my conversation:

I asked for Nelson's position and was told he didn't yet have
one. I said he must vote to ensure net neutrality. I then
reminded them that I was very angry about Nelson's vote on
cloture during the Alito confirmation, and that Alito's votes to
date have justified my opposition to the confirmation. I then
told them that I have met Brian Moore, an independent
progressive candidate running for the Senate, and I prefer his
positions on issues to those of Senator Nelson, and it wouldn't
take much for me to turn my support, both financial and
volunteer hours, to Mr. Moore.

The net neutrality issue rates 10 of 10 in my hierarchy of importance.
Most of our traditional, corporate media are too compromised to deliver
the news we need to keep our democracy healthy. If we lose the internet,
we lose our democracy. It's that simple.

Jeanie in Belleview (Marion Co.)

Oh, suggest you look at Brian Moore's website:
