When stocks don’t move for a while - it is called collapse in volatility. Generally, it sets the stock for a significantly bigger price move - either up or down, when ever that happens. Here are two stocks that qualify as breakout post collapse in volatility. Will there be follow through?

Death of Surprise

The market makes a violent move in the direction of surprise. But what should market do when there is consensus and no surprise to price in. The decline of intra-day volatility clearly reflects lack of tussle between bulls and bears. There is no debate. Nobody is arguing. It’s no surprise to see - that the market has become too quiet at index level.
