2013 STATEN ISLAND LIBERTARIAN CONVENTION

Folks:

I am trying to schedule our 2013 Convention next week on Thursday at Karl's Klipper at  7:30 pm.  The Agenda will include:

1.  Electing new officers for Staten Island for the next 12 months.

2.  Electing candidates for City Council (Oddo seat) and SI Borough President.  Also, with a likely second convention, if anyone is interested in running for Citywide office; Mayor, Comptroller, or Public Advocate.

3.  We need to have a SI representative for the State Committee (I think this should be the fifth member of the Executive Board.

4.  Talk about the second NYC convention which will be in Manhattan. 

5.  Any new business that anyone wants to talk about including increasing membership.

If this date and time don't work for some of you, let me know soon and we can meet the following week. 

Please feel free to invite new members.

In the past, weekend were very difficult to schedule meetings as it tends to be more family time.  But I would wait to get some more feedback.  Since you are interested in being a candidate, we will re-schedule to a new date and time.

I sent an email to all in this list about a very important and empowering presentation on next Saturday (May 11) from noon to 3pm at the Unitarian Church.  I really can't stress enough how important it is and hope to see all or most of you there. 

If so, would you like to meet right after or that evening?

If not, how about Sunday evening?

P.S.  I copied Tina Downer to this as I didn't see her email.  Tina, please add the ones on your list.

I think it will be re-scheduled for the following week as one of the candidates can't make it.
