Come join me on Tuesday, February 21, at 5:30 pm, for a meet-and-greet with former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson, who is running for President of the United States of America, and hoping to gain the nomination of the Libertarian Party. Gov. Johnson is polling in the high single digits nationally, drawing interest from Republicans, Democrats, and independents who are disappointed in the flawed two-party system that currently runs our government. I am happy to count myself as one of his supporters.

Some of his policy positions:
Anti-war
Anti-death penalty
Pro-civil liberties (highest rating of any candidate by the ACLU)
Pro-marriage equality
Fiscally responsible, calling for big cuts in our military budget
Pro-marijuana legalization

All these things that our current president doesn't support and none of his potential Republican challengers would either.

O'Casey's pub is located quite convenient to Grand Central station. (41st St between 5th and Madison) http://www.ocaseysnyc.com/

A suggested contribution of $100 will help the campaign qualify for federal matching campaign funds, and defray the costs of the event. Smaller and larger contributions are also appreciated.

Feel free to invite friends, but please make sure to RSVP, so we can accurately gauge the crowd.

Thanks Richard.  Chris, our NJ director, is helping me recruit a NY experienced libertarian to co-direct our campaign in NY.  If you have any recommendations, please reply to Chris.

Wade, our NY finance director, would love to give you a fundraiser invitation to forward to all your friends for Tuesday (that includes a visit from Governor Gary Johnson), and ask for your recommendations of industrial and advocacy leaders to join his Finance Committee.

Thanks,

Charles:

I am the Vice Chair for the Staten Island Libertarian Party and wanted to send you my contact information if you need me to do anything in my area including NYC.  I have been part of the National LP since 2000, and I am also active in the NY State LP and a former Board Member.  We have a pretty active party and we also have a strong student group, Young Americans for Liberty Chapter at the College of Staten Island.  Some of their members are also members of the Staten Island Chapter.

Although many of our members are active in the Ron Paul campaign, myself and our Chair, Dave Narby have been strong advocates for Gary Johnson as his success has been in a much more difficult role of being a Governor.

Please let me know what you need or if the Governor is going to be in the area.  I know he recently was at an event in Manhattan.

Thanks and Regards,
Rich Bier
