Petitioning Starts Tuesday July 10

How many signatures will YOU gather?

Voters are more dissatisfied with the Democrats and Republicans than any time in recent memory.  If you divide voters into D's , R's and NOTA - NOTA is the biggest group.  More people specifically decline to be D's and R's than affiliate with D's and R's.   Then why do the D's and the R's get practically automatic ballot access when third parties have to spend enormous time and effort just to get on the ballot?   Let's see - is it to offer voters a wider choice and to bring new ideas and solutions in to the debate?  Or could it be because they know it's the only way they can stay in power?

Restrictive ballot access laws are among the most effective tools the statists have for stifling our voices. Don't let them stifle you.  Help get Gary Johnson, Jim Gray, Chris Edes and all our other great candidates on the ballot.

Volunteer now to gather signatures.  Right now ballot access is the single most important thing you can do to help the freedom movement.  If you haven't done it before, don't worry.  We will show you everything.  Sign up or get more info here.

Monday, July 9  5pm

City Hall

Are YOU, like many New Yorkers, tired of being told how to run your personal life? Come join the largest, most visible grassroots protest of Bloomberg's Nanny government yet!

Let's turn the tide by telling these bureaucrats enough is enough, we will drink whatever size drinks we please and send a broader message that we will take care of ourselves!

Check this page frequently for updates and announcements of confirmed speakers and VIPs, such as City Councilman and Republican nominee for the U.S. House of Representatives, Daniel Halloran who has just confirmed his appearance.

Founder of the Fugees and two-time Grammy Award winner Pras Michel is also scheduled to attend!

Oh Thank Heaven: Mayor Protects us from 7-Eleven! by Janet Hopf

First Bloomberg came for the smokers, but I was not a smoker so I did not speak out.  Then he came for 4 Loko, but I do not drink, so I did not speak out.  Then he came for the people, who while not smoking in restaurants or bars, were nevertheless still smoking in public parks.  But I was still not a smoker, so I did not speak out.  read more....

Fair Tax or Government Theft by Another Name? by Ron Moore

Many libertarians (including me) have opposed the Fair Tax for reasons including its revenue neutrality – it’s designed to provide the Government with as much revenue (armed robbery?) as the current system.  Another huge concern is that the Government will simply reinstate all the taxes the Fair Tax is supposed to eliminate, a charge the Fair Tax proponents quickly refute.  read more...

As Petitioning for Ballot Access Approaches Most Voters Think The System is Unfair by Ron Moore

Across the country most Democrat and Republican candidates are automatically on the ballot or have very minimal petitioning requirements.  This is despite the fact that nearly a third of all voters identify themselves as unaffiliated with Republicans or Democrats.  In New York State third-party candidates need to meet requirements three or four times higher than Democrats and Republicans.  read more...
