I've used Bluehost in the past and became dissatisfied with their constant changes.  I moved on to GoDaddy who I've had domains hosted with now for several years.  The problems with them are two fold - one no SSL that I can discover, two limited to only 50 FTP accounts, no matter how many domains one has.

Thus I'm searching for a new hosting provider as GoDaddy has offered 2 years @ $407.

I checked with aplus, where I have a domain stored - $8.99/mo / 36mo. no limits on storage, FTP accounts, subdomains, or monthly transfer.  $324 for 3 years.
Next with HostPapa -  $6.95/mo / 36mo. - $250.20 for 3 years - no limits on websites, 200G storage, free SSL.

My main questions are how many FTP accounts?  Is SSL included?  Service costs.

Any thoughts?

I second Dreamhost.  I've been with them for years.  They do offer unlimited ftp and SSL is included. As for cost, there are different options. https://www.dreamhost.com/

I've been pleased with Dreamhost for nearly 2 decades for my personal USGenWeb-affiliated sites and my other sites.

An important point is Dreamhost provides free hosting for registered 501(c) organizations.

TNGenWeb uses Bluehost.  I have a love-hate relationship with them from administering our TNGenWeb account.  The only reason we don't change is it allows us to have 100 individual accounts on the same domain (FTP or WordPress instances), which no one else allows.
