Deborah was going to contact each State Coordinator but I told her I could forward her email on to you and you could send it to the USGenWeb mailing list for State Coordinators.  I think this is a good resource to help people researching ancestors that served in the Civil War.

Hi! I thought I would introduce myself. My name is Debbie Wallsmith and I worked as Chief of Interpretation for Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites. One of the projects I worked on was development of a database of POWs imprisoned at Camp Lawton aka Millen. Most of them were sent to Millen from Andersonville between mid-September and late November 1864. The database contains the names of 563 men from Illinois. I would be happy to respond to requests for information on any or all of these men. I would also be glad to hear from those who have proof their ancestors were held at Millen, just in case they aren't currently listed as well as to learn about how they fared once they returned home after the war.

I can be reached at this email address.

Thank you.
