How to Download and Install Android 4.2.2 on Excelvan Projector

If you have an Excelvan projector that runs on Android 4.4.4 or lower, you might want to upgrade it to Android 4.2.2, which is the latest version of Android ported on Intel x86 platform with UEFI and Windows 8 support. This will give you access to more features and apps, as well as improve the performance and stability of your projector.

In this article, we will show you how to download and install Android 4.2.2 on your Excelvan projector in a few simple steps.

Step 1: Download Android 4.2.2 x86 Image

The first thing you need to do is to download the Android 4.2.2 x86 image file from the SourceForge website. This is a binary installer for Samsung xe700t device, but it works on other Intel x86 devices as well.

You can use this link to download the file: sourceforge.net/projects/android422x86/files/latest/download

The file size is about 300 MB, so it might take some time depending on your internet speed.

Step 2: Copy the Image File to a USB Drive

Once you have downloaded the image file, you need to copy it to a USB drive that has at least 1 GB of free space. You can use any USB drive that is formatted in FAT32 or NTFS.

To copy the file, you can use any file manager app on your computer or your projector. Just make sure you don't rename or unzip the file.

Step 3: Boot Your Projector from the USB Drive

Now that you have the image file on your USB drive, you need to boot your projector from it. To do this, you need to access the BIOS settings of your projector and change the boot order.

The BIOS settings are different for each projector model, so you might need to consult your user manual or contact your manufacturer for more details. However, here are some general steps that might work for most projectors:

    • Turn off your projector and plug in the USB drive.
    • Turn on your projector and press F2 or Del repeatedly to enter the BIOS settings.
    • Use the arrow keys to navigate to the Boot tab and select Boot Device Priority.
    • Use the + and - keys to move the USB drive to the top of the list.
    • Press F10 to save and exit.

Your projector should now reboot from the USB drive and start the installation process.

Step 4: Install Android 4.2.2 on Your Projector

The installation process is very easy and straightforward. You just need to follow the on-screen instructions and choose the options that suit your preferences.

Here are some tips to help you with the installation:

      • When prompted, choose Install Android-x86 to harddisk.
      • Select Create/Modify partitions and use cfdisk to create a new partition for Android.
      • Select ext3 as the file system type and choose Yes when asked to format it.
      • Select Install GRUB and choose Yes when asked to install it on MBR.
      • Select Skip when asked to create a disk image for data.

The installation should take about 10 minutes or less. When it's done, you can reboot your projector and enjoy Android 4.2.2 on it!
