HiI'm not a staff member, hopefully they'll respond soon and stop the person submitting the false data. But I did look at your page the other day and know the things you mention were not there, so I have submitted deletions to the 'self' credits which have been approved and should be gone, I also applied to delete that quote which is currently pending.

Oh I meant I knew the Self credits and Quote were recently falsely added because they weren't there a couple of days ago, that's why I submitted deletions, I knew your claim was truthful and they were obviously put there to make you look bad, sorry if I wasn't totally clear. I only delete data I know for sure is incorrect.

I can tell you that IMDb accounts cannot be locked, the pages do not have that facility but IMDb staff should stop whoever is defacing your page and credits especially fake quotes that could damage your career. I hope that happens for you as soon as possible.

@vdh I've not seen a staff member on here solving problems for 4 or 5 days now, I do not know why. You can try messaging direct to them here: IMDb Contact

Tell them what is happening and you can even link this thread in the explanation. You should get a response within 24 hours. Hopefully they'll block the contributor from submitting again.

I have submitted 3 deletions to those actor credits and thy should be gone now.

The submission for the Quote is still pending sadly, things move slower at the weekend.

Also due to the fake credits containing 'Salesman', a frequent character name by this troll, it confirms that these recently added, massively suspect credits moved to another page are indeed false, so this profile page should be deleted:

Someone is doing the same to me. His name is Ryan J. Gilmer account should be taken down he makes false claims constantly. I have faced harassment from this guy on multiple occasions. I have also wanted to take legal action against IMDB for him creating and taking down IMDB accounts how is this even legal? And, press charges on him for using things without my permission.

@nelliepants Oh Wow! Thank you so much! Is there any way to remove his page or take his name off Jackpot as a writer completely? I really don't want any association with this guy. He is bad news in our film community. He somehow got YouTube to do the same last year. Caused a lot of headaches for me.

Glad to help, I can't believe your page has been defaced again so massively less than 24 hours after steps were taken to stop it.

It's obvious, he kept the old submissions and resubmitted them after they were removed so they would show up again.

If the person doing this has their own IMDb page, the joke will be on them when they can't add anything to IMDb anymore. Maybe they are your jealous biggest fan or just have an empty life, I almost feel sorry for them but not quite.

Unfortunately they can't give out that data but they can stop them, they do consider this their data rather than yours, so it's in their own interests to restore your page back to it's truthful self , I can only assume Michelle submitted your page for extra protection but it's not gone through their system yet to the button pushers. Hopefully she will follow up soon and get it all restored.

It seems increasingly obvious the site is just compromised to trolls, bots and people who do not care to accurately contribute more than I've ever seen it and there is not enough staff and time to combat it all. I hope they are having a big think about how to go forward with the site and protecting it's data in the future.

@vdh Well at least it sounds like it's on their radar to fix, they should've marked this thread 'acknowledged'. It's just a waiting game now, hopefully sooner rather than later. Hang in there, that troll is a weakling that can't get the best of you.
