Athens, Greece, is known for having top tier horror escape rooms and has long been on his list of destinations. I cringed at the idea of traveling that distance just to be too scared to play any of the games. But here we were, on our way to Athens anyway. Richard had arranged to play the horror games with some other enthusiasts and I made plans to keep myself busy and then join them for the few non-scary rooms on the schedule.
As luck would have it, travel delays among some of the group led to them being shorthanded for the first horror game of the trip and I was asked to fill in. So I found myself headed down a dark alley, to a black door, waiting for our time to enter.
We were greeted by an in-character game host who led us into a dark room and gave us minimal instruction, with the most important being to move away from the demons. This rule would prove important to my awakening.
My team was awesome and gave great emotional support throughout the experience. Someone else was always willing to be first (or last) into the dark rooms and tunnels so I could melt into the middle of the bunch. This support helped me make it through my first Athens horror escape room.
I started off the trip not wanting to play any scary rooms and ended the trip wishing I would have played more. I am proud of where I ended up as a player and grateful for not having missed out on some of the best experiences our industry has to offer.
It gets easier. Give horror rooms at least a few chances to win you over. The more I played the more I liked playing scary escape games, and the easier it became. Like a lot of things in life, taking the first step is the hardest. I had to be the brave one in a few of our later games and I was able to accept the role with little reservation.
Actors adapt to you. Most actors adjust their in-game interactions based on the fear response of the players. When any of us became paralyzed with fear, the actor was less aggressive. If we showed no fear, their scares were more deliberate.
Accept spoilers. I accepted minor spoilers from friends that previously played these rooms. I also used EscapeRoomers.de scarefactor level ratings to compare other games that I played with the experiences that were on our Athens itinerary.
You can blend your shakes with dairy milk or any nut mylk, but please note that the shakes do contain milk powder, so they are NOT vegan. Simply add 150ml milk to your blender, then the contents of the sachet, blitz for 30 seconds (maybe giving it a shake half way through) and voila! Creamy, indulgent shake, done.
Yes, we use stock powder (which includes yeast), spices, sometimes some lemon zest and seasoning to give our soups a lovely rounded flavour. We also use coconut milk for the pea and the sweet potato soup. But never ever anything artificial.
Each cocktail is blended with its own spirit and juice: Pina Colada with white rum/pineapple juice, Strawberry Daiquiri with white rum/apple juice, Pornstar Martini with vodka/apple juice and Raspberry Collins with gin/apple juice. The exact quantity and details are printed on each sachet, and if you want ideas on how to pimp your cocktails further, have a look at this handy little infographic (click on cocktails)
Jaime Sommers: [reading the lyrics Sandy wrote for her while he plays his mandolin] My love is as deep as the ocean and as far as the stars in the sky. And I will follow you and I will stay with you till all the seas run dry. For my love for you is my poetry and the song that I sing you is true. There is love in my heart, that will stay in my heart all my life, I will give love to you. All my life I will give love to you.
The thought of mountains shaking or trembling is enough to put terror into any of us and yet it is God Himself who is described as shaking those same mountains (Exodus 19:18). In contrast it is not the mountains but rather His character and in particular His unfailing love and Covenant of Peace which are described as unshakeable.
The garden still looked nice. It was like the bushes were so tight-seeming and the sun made everything stand out? It was like any moment you expected some Victorians to wander in with their cups of tea. It was as if the garden had become a sort of embodiment of the domestic dreams forever intrinsic to human consciousness. It was as if I could suddenly discern, in this contemporary vignette, the ancient corollary through which Plato and some of his contemporaries might have strolled; to wit, I was sensing the eternal in the ephemeral.
Both times, Jeff protests, not wanting to lose the love he feels. The first time Abnesti simply bosses him into it, the second time he seems vaguely annoyed. And both times, Jeff stands naked in a room with a girl he was just crazy for, and tries to talk about how it feels as his love ebbs away into nothing.
The cycle of high ups and deep downs in a relationship is like being trapped in an emotional prison. There are moments of freedom and happiness, followed by a constant underlying fear or worry of being trapped again.
The emotional prison is created by the manipulative and controlling behavior of the person who wants to keep the person in a disempowered state. This cycle of ups and downs often forms a trauma bond, where the person seeks love and support from the same person who is causing them emotional harm.

Or to go a little deeper, the Matrix is the stimulated reality that humans are in. The Matrix hides the truth from humanity, allowing them to live a convincing, simulated life while machines grow and harvest people to use as an ongoing energy source.
The term Matrix came up to me when I was talking to a friend about life and shit. Not that we were being a couple of philosophical dudes but we exchanged views and ideas on believing in yourself and doing what you love.
This is when your boss is nagging at and putting you down and you believe every damn, bullshit thing he says. This is when you feel like shit everyday when you wake up to go to work and not care about the unhealthy side effects of it.
What is real can always be up to you. What you see and how you live is up to you, but it is very important to follow your heart and recognize what you are to yourself, and not just to this world.
In the rat race for money, career and other shit, people tend to get too caught up in themselves and forget that everyone else is trying to live and be happy and are all the same. As such, people forget to help each other.
At Think Escape Games in Ft. Lauderdale we felt like guests in a movie murder mystery as we solved riddles, looked for clues and worked together to escape The Study. Nine of us went as guests of Think Escape through the Ft. Lauderdale Blogger Union.
It was a close call too. While we solved the mystery, there was a lot of scrambling as the clock ticked down the final minutes. There were quite a few surprises, a couple of scary moments (hidden door and darkness, hello) and lots of laughs too.
Many thanks for the advice! Puzzle fans should not miss Think Escape Games in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, since it provides distinctive and immersive escape experiences. What distinguishes this location?
Inspired by Undertale, Chibixi's Can You Escape Love?, also free for Android, is a bizarre escape game that blends action sequences with point-and-click gameplay. In it, the previous year's Zodiac isn't ready to give up the ghost... in fact, they've become more than a little obsessed with you, and are determined to keep you to themselves, forever, even if it kills you. The gameplay is split into two parts... exploring the locked room by clicking on things to interact and discover secrets and solve puzzles, and taking part in boss "fights". These sequences take a page from Undertale's book by tasking you to move a heart icon around the screen to avoid enemy projectiles and attacks... take too much damage and it's game over, but outlast the boss and you'll win. Can You Escape Love? isn't what you'd call subtle, and its action sequences aren't that hard if you can find the "sweet spots" to hang out in to avoid the lion's share of damage, but its weirdness is part of its charm. With multiple endings and a plan to add even more content down the line, Can You Escape Love? is strange and twisted, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
Don't get me wrong, I love Undertale, but when all you have to say is "UNDERTALE", maybe you should just make a fangame? Or at least understand why certain elements in Undertale worked in the first place?
The character you're obviously referencing had a certain backstory that made his behavior make more sense, and the way he was presented over the course of the game went a long way toward making him lovable. It wasn't just the surface traits. Referencing something so closely just invites an awkward unflattering comparison.
I agree with Romanticize. This game would pass off better as a "Spot the Meme" if Undertale was less heavily referenced. The FNAF sheep jumpscare and "The Dress" poster would help contribute to that. Not only is an obviously less than great referenced game, but the battle sequences are a little obnoxious. I'm too busy dodging flying hearts and objects that I can't read the 5 second changing text at the top. The game feels very rushed, both in play, visual and story.
