Coffee hour THIS SUNDAY; stream clean-up next Saturday

Hi everyone,

Apologies for the short notice, but we have two St. A's Enviro events coming up real soon!

We are doing Coffee Hour this Sunday.  Please bring a light snack (veggies, crackers, etc.) if you can - let me and Paul (psch...@yahoo.com) know if you will be able to bring something.

Second, next Saturday (4/25) is the Annual Anacostia Stream Clean-up coordinated by Anacostia Watershed Society.  We've done this several times in the past.  Nelson Gibson is organizing this year; he is bringing his Cub Scout Pack and welcomes as many of us as show up.  Here are some details....

Please join fellow parishioners and others from our community for the 2015 Anacostia Clean Up and Earth Day Celebration.  Over 2000 volunteers will be cleaning up our neighborhoods, parks, streams, and the Anacostia River.  Our clean-up location is in Riverdale; we will be working with members of Cub Scout Pack 740.  There will be information available during coffee hour today.

Saturday, April 25, 9:00 am -12:00 pm (rain or shine)

Riverside Neighborhood Park, 5800 Riverside Dr., Riverdale, MD 20737 (parking lot next to ballpark).  Bring a water bottle and shoes and long pants that can get dirty.  Kids need a signed waiver, available during coffee hour.

All volunteers will receive a T-shirt, and there is a celebration afterwards in Bladensburg Waterfront Park!

Nelson will be at coffee hour this Sunday in case you have any questions. 

We hope you can participate in both the coffee hour and the stream clean-up!
